Make a little plan for your first biker dating in the real world

Here are a few tips in how to approach the subject of meeting for a first time in the real world.

One of the major reasons why first dates fail to happen is because the people involved make the mistake of not planning for them. It may be that they are worried about offending the other person, or perhaps they may feel that a “make it up as I go along” attitude will work well in the long run.

Unfortunately, this approach will often fail simply because most people need a plan of action- something to react to, either favorably or unfavorably. Instead of saying something vague like “We should meet for a ride sometime? or “Feel like meeting for a biker rally?” try saying something like this: “There’s a great biker bar on Stevens Street- about halfway between the two of us.

How about a riding meet there next Friday for lunch?” By being specific, you can provide your date with concrete things to change, reject, or accept. They can respond with anything from “No, I’m sorry, but I got plans on Friday- would Sunday work better for you?” Or “I’ve been to that biker bar- the service is not perfect. What about that restaurant across the street?” Of course, they could just as easily accept.

There is another reason to be specific in your time and place of meeting. As we know, safety is always a concern, especially when you are meeting some biker guy for the first time. By setting up a specific time and meeting place, especially a few days early, both you and your date can check out the place prior to the appointed time if so desired. Also, it gives both of you a chance to inform trusted individuals where you are going, and when you’ll probably be back.

First biker date should be brought up sooner than later

Ideally, the idea of the first biker date should be brought up sooner than later. After all, there is so much more to be learned in a face to face meeting than can ever be learned in an online setting. True, pictures can and should be exchanged, but honestly a picture can only tell you so much. Quite a number of people make the mistake of staying in the safety of a chat room or an email system for far longer than needed. Think about it this way – you’re an independent, self-reliant person.

You’ve already taken all the safety precautions, thought about all the possible bad things that could happen, and you still feel that meeting a biker would be an enjoyable experience. What are you waiting for?

I won’t lie to you. It can be a bit daunting to make the first move when it comes to meeting for the first time; no one is arguing that point. However- and this is important- it doesn’t have to be. Here are a few things to remember:
Keep it light and friendly
It’s not the end of the world if the other biker singles says no.
Chances are they’ll say yes.

Move from online biker dating to first biker date in person

Move from online dating site to life.

Meet bikers in a local bar or club when you have chatted on biker dating site.

After you created your online biker dating profile, and have started to field interest from a number of online participants. Emails have been sent out, some answered, and some left by the wayside because something in them simply didn’t click. You’ve braved the forums, had interesting discussions in the chat rooms, and eventually found yourself talking with a certain individual for the majority of your time.

There is certainly seems to be a connection, but it can be difficult to tell for sure when the two of you are separated by a computer screen. Believe it or not, there will come a time when the idea of actually meeting in person becomes one that should be explored. But how do you go about doing it? How and when do you approach the subject? Finally, where do you go and what do you do on your first actual in person biker date?

The first step is to relax and take a deep breath. True, transitioning from the online biker dating site to meeting in the real world can be a bit unnerving, but it’s not an earth shattering event. Chances are the other person is probably as nervous as you, and desperately trying to hide the fact. But really, there are quite a few reasons it can work out extremely well.

The first reason is that you already have some areas of common interest. You both share the love of riding motorcycles, and the biker lifestyle. Second, you’ve taken the time to learn a few things about them through your conversations. In reality, that puts you on much firmer ground than those who simply meet for the first time in a blind date situation.

Second, since both of you are using an online biker dating system, you know the potential pitfalls and advantages of doing so. If things were done correctly, profiles would have been completed honestly, expectations would have been explained, and the overall feelings presented should have been genuine ones. Both you and your online biker friend have taken the steps necessary to hopefully find exactly what you need and want.
